Darien Summer School and Enrichment offers educational, creative, and fun programming for residents of the surrounding area who are between three and 18 years old. The program continues to offer classes in academic areas such as math, reading, writing and science along with courses in other categories like music, theater, sports, film and art.
This year, the course offerings will be expanded to include camps and classes such as Engineering Adventures, Girls’ Lacrosse, Biology, Portrait Painting, Study Skills, and Creative Writing & Cartography.
The program is also adding a one-week course titled “College 101” where students will learn how to successfully make the transition into their first year at a university. DSS is adding more than just courses though! For the first time ever, a one-day, free practice SAT and a free practice ACT will be offered to any student (pre-registration required). All courses range from one week to five, with the program running from June 25 to July 28. Classes are taught by certified teachers and coaches and provide an exciting way for children to learn and grow over the summer.
